The Background image is a celtic design which Marth Woodburned into the nursery floor. She then applied a two-tone stain and Brian covered it all with a Polyurethane finish. It looks great, and really gives a distinctive touch to plain old pine.

Here's some Before and After images of places we've worked on in the house so far. It's easy to take a thing like a floor for granted after a while, so we kept pictures of what the place looked like when we arrived just to keep reminding ourselves how, little by little, we're making headway!

Marth put all these floors down: Pine in the nursery, Oak in the living room, Terra Cotta in the kitchen, hallway, and lavs. Brian did the wiring, plumbing and the kitchen installation, plaster work, and painting. I think we've now succeeded in removing all of the chronic 1970s linoleum infestation, and while we declared victory over the avocado toilets some time ago, an avocado sink is holding out in one of the bedrooms. Its days are numbered.
