The 45th Anniversary Cruise...

We couldn't afford to send them to the Caribbean,
so we hired a boat to take them on a candlelit cruise
of the canals of Amsterdam.

Our email account was working overtime keeping up to all the greetings, congratulations (to Jim) and commiserations (to Sally).
Kir -- a Cherry aperitif, started off the meal. Out the window you can see the multi-level Bike Garage that's been build outside Central Station. Jim stopped counting at "thousands." Even at that capacity, it's too small and only a temporary solution. The city is digging an even bigger bike shed underground.
Captain Eric was our excellent pilot and tourguide. He told us he was taking his pilot's test in two weeks for the bigger boats, so we put him threw a few tight turn and low bridge tests to see what he was made of. Flying Colors.
Mata Hari's balcony. One of the bits of tour nuggets we never heard on the big-boat tours. Mata Hari was the famous Dutch Erotic dancer, also known as "Agent H21", who spied for both the Germans and France in World War I.
This Smooch (one of dozens on the trip -- these kids...) was under the "Skinny Bridge." According to legend, if two people in love kiss under this bridge, they'll stay together forever.
Our captain and cook take a bow at the end of the trip.

Smoochin for 45 years.
